This role is designed for a clinician who thrives in a fast-paced, hospital-based consult environment and possesses deep expertise in a specific sub-specialty (e.g., Palliative Care, Pain Management, Addictions, or Health Psychology).You will not only provide advanced diagnostic assessments and evidence-based interventions but also serve as a departmental leader-shaping policy, developing treatment programs, and elevating the standard of patient-centered care across a large-scale hospital system.Key ResponsibilitiesSpecialized Clinical Practice: Conduct advanced psychological evaluations, diagnostic classifications, and crisis interventions for a diverse and complex patient population.Consultation & Collaboration: Serve as a core member of an interdisciplinary team, providing expert consultation to medical providers and coordinating seamless transitions of care.Program Leadership: Drive the design and implementation of treatment protocols and practice guidelines within your specialty area.Clinical Excellence: Deliver evidence-based specialized treatments (EBSTs) while adapting communication for sensory impairments and the specific needs of geriatric populations.Advocacy & Education: Act as a subject matter expert to the wider clinical community, promoting best practices and mental health integration in a medical setting.Documentation & Compliance: Maintain rigorous clinical records and ensure all practices adhere to state/federal laws and accreditation standards.Candidate RequirementsEducation & ExperienceDoctoral Degree: PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an accredited program.Proven Expertise: Significant post-licensure experience.Specialized Training: Must demonstrate a "breadth and depth" of training in a specific sub-specialty, typically through a dedicated fellowship, residency, or post-doctoral track.Skills & CompetenciesClinical Proficiency: Mastery of basic psychological assessment, family systems, and developmental orientation.Evidence-Based Focus: Formal training in EBSTs; board certification or specialty-specific certification is highly preferred.Interpersonal Impact: Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a "patient-centered" philosophy.Cultural Competence: Ability to work effectively with diverse populations; Spanish proficiency is a significant plus.Compensation & BenefitsThis is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary based on sub-specialty expertise and years of experience.
