Minimum Requirements

NYS Teaching Certification in School Psychology

Position Summary/Responsibilities

Administer and interpret psychological assessments of students;

Prepare recommendations regarding the evaluation and services for students;

Consult with teachers, administrators, specialists, agency and district personnel, and parents;

Counsel students; coordinate behavior management programs;

Facilitate FBA/BIP process and provide oversight for implementation and monitoring of BIPs;

Provide psycho-educational assessments of students for districts and programs and participate in resulting CSE meetings;

Facilitate 504 meetings, as required;

Provide written reports analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing test results, observations and information from school personnel, students and parents;

Act as liaison between public and private agencies and county programs;

Develop, coordinate and provide training to staff, parents, agency and district personnel;

Maintain professional competencies in areas of responsibility;

Maintain contact with and participate in professional job-related organizations and serve as a liaison to professional groups;

All other duties as assigned.

All teachers who are new to Greece will be required to attend two teacher induction days in August.

Additionally, all Teachers will be required to to work 1 Teacher day in the Month of August per school calendar.
