Make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary school students as a School Social Worker. This contract opportunity is located near Clinton Township, MI and runs from September 8, 2026, through June 18, 2027. In this full-time, onsite position, you’ll deliver vital social work services throughout the academic year, empowering young learners and fostering a positive school community.

What you’ll bring:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from a State Board-approved program
  • Temporary or full School Social Work approval through the Michigan Department of Education (MDE)
  • Solid foundation in school-based social work, with the ability to assess and address the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong collaborative skills to partner with teachers, administrators, and support professionals
  • Preferred: Prior experience as a School Social Worker and developing resource networks for students

What you’ll do:

  • Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral health in an elementary school setting
  • Connect students and families with internal and community resources
  • Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and school support staff
  • Maintain open, effective communication with families and team members
  • Document services provided and contribute to multidisciplinary planning for student success
