About the Role

You’ll be leading the daily operations of a psychiatric unit, ensuring high-quality care, managing staff performance, and making real-time decisions that impact patient outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and oversee 24/7 operations of the psychiatric unit
• Manage staff performance, scheduling, and team coordination
• Ensure compliance with DOH, JCAHO, OMH, and regulatory standards
• Oversee patient admissions, discharges, and care quality
• Drive performance improvement and reporting initiatives
• Support staffing, budgeting, and inventory management
• Maintain high standards for patient care and satisfaction

What We’re Looking For

• Active NY RN License (required)
• 5+ years RN experience (must include psychiatry)
• 2+ years leadership experience
• Experience managing a hospital-based psych unit
• Strong understanding of compliance and quality standards
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Education & Certifications

• BSN required | MSN preferred
• BLS, ACLS required
• Crisis Management (PMCS/TRUST) preferred

Nice to Have

• Pediatric psychiatric experience (6 weeks–6 years)
