Residential Aide

Duties

• Supervise residents to promote safety, compliance, and positive behavior management.
• Assist with daily routines including meal service, medication administration, and personal hygiene support.
• Respond promptly to crises or behavioral health incidents using crisis intervention techniques.
• Conduct intake assessments and maintain accurate case management records for each resident.
• Support residents with childcare needs and facilitate engaging social activities to promote community involvement.
• Monitor security by conducting regular checks, managing access control, and ensuring a safe environment.
• Collect data on resident progress, complete filing and data entry tasks, and maintain detailed records of incidents and care activities.

Skills

• Proven supervising experience in residential or childcare settings.
• Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to de-escalate conflicts effectively.
• Knowledge of behavioral health principles and addiction counseling techniques.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and team members.
• Ability to handle conflict management situations calmly and professionally.
• Experience with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs or home & community care is a plus.
