REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN (RBT)/BT
ABvivA ABA Therapy, Inc. - NorCal
WHO WE ARE
ABvivA ABA Therapy is a therapy practice built on the belief that every child — regardless of zip code, language, income, or background — deserves access to high-quality, culturally responsive ABA services. We are committed to serving underserved and underrepresented communities, with a strong emphasis on Spanish-speaking families and diverse populations who have historically faced barriers to behavioral health care.
We don't just provide therapy. We advocate. We show up. We build bridges between evidence-based practice and the communities that need it most.
- WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
As a Registered Behavior Technician at ABvivA, you are not just implementing programs — you are a frontline advocate for families navigating systems that weren't always designed with them in mind. You'll work directly with children and adolescents with autism and developmental disabilities, many of whom come from communities that have been underserved by the behavioral health system. Your work is a form of social justice in action.
-WHAT YOU'LL DO
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans using ABA techniques in home, community, and clinic settings
- Collect and record data on client progress, behaviors, and responses to intervention — accurately and consistently
- Support clients in building communication, social skills, and independence in daily living
- Educate and partner with families — including Spanish-speaking caregivers — on behavior management strategies and treatment goals
- Collaborate with BCBAs and other team members to deliver coordinated, culturally responsive care
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, affirming environment for every client and family you serve
- Participate in ongoing training, including culturally responsive practice, equity in ABA, and professional development
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all applicable confidentiality requirements
- WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Current RBT certification (or active pursuit of certification)
- Genuine commitment to equity, inclusion, and serving diverse communities
- Bilingual in Spanish and English — strongly preferred and highly valued
- Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral health needs
- Strong data collection skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication with families — warm, clear, and culturally aware
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
- Patience, empathy, and a deep belief that every learner can grow
- WHO THRIVES HERE
You believe ABA should be accessible to everyone — not just those with the "right" insurance or the "right" zip code. You're energized by working with families who may be navigating the system for the first time. You see linguistic and cultural diversity as a strength, not a barrier. You want your work to mean something beyond a session note.
If you speak Spanish and have a heart for advocacy, we especially want to hear from you.
