Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Therapist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups, focusing on enhancing mental health and emotional well-being. This role involves working with clients of various ages, including children and adults, to address behavioral issues, family dynamics, and developmental disabilities. The Family Therapist will collaborate with other professionals to create effective treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
Duties
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address mental health challenges.
- Provide therapy focused on behavioral management and emotional support.
- Work closely with families to facilitate child family counseling sessions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on clients' unique situations and goals.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Utilize evidence-based practices in therapy, including behavioral therapy techniques.
- Support clients with developmental disabilities through tailored therapeutic approaches.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling.
Experience
- A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- Previous experience in individual group counseling or therapy is essential.
- Familiarity with behavioral therapy methods and behavior management strategies is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of pediatrics and child family counseling techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds are crucial.
- A valid license or certification in mental health counseling or social work is required.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
