Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – School-Based Role

Location(s): Oceanside, Carlsbad, Vista, San Marcos
Pay: $25-26/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Are you passionate about supporting students with behavioral needs and helping them succeed in a school setting? Ro Health is hiring Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) for the current school year to provide meaningful, hands-on support in local school districts.

In this role, you will work with students ranging from Pre-K through high school, implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies to support both behavioral and academic success.

What You’ll Do

You may be assigned in one of two roles:

1:1 Support

  • Provide individualized support to a single student throughout the school day
  • Accompany the student to each class
  • Help maintain focus, reinforce goals, and support behavioral progress

Classroom Support

  • Work alongside a teacher within a classroom
  • Support multiple students as needed
  • Assist with a variety of tasks in a dynamic, team-based environment

Position Details

  • Location: Oceanside, Carlsbad, Vista, San Marcos
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, school-day hours (may vary slightly by assignment)

Qualifications

  • RBT Certification or successful completion of 40 hour ABA training
  • Prior ABA experience
  • CPR certification
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Dedication to support students in their learning and behavioral development

Preferred:

  • Previous school-based experience
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, crouching, and lifting (up to 40 pounds)
  • Ability to assist with hygiene support if needed

Pay: $25.50 - $26.00 per hour
