Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team committed to improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. As an RBT, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your role is vital in delivering personalized care that promotes skill development, independence, and positive behavior change. Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities
  • Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, eating, and toileting, fostering independence and self-care skills
  • Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors and manage challenging behaviors effectively
  • Collaborate closely with BCBA supervisors to ensure treatment plans are followed accurately and consistently
  • Maintain confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and safeguarding all medical records and documentation
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current with best practices in behavioral health, special education, and medical terminology

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or willingness to obtain certification prior to start date
  • Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities, is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and data collection techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members in a compassionate manner
  • Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate medical documentation and care plans
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine desire to help individuals achieve their full potential
  • Ability to work in compliance with HIPAA standards and maintain strict confidentiality of medical records and sensitive information
