Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Put your expertise to work supporting students’ growth and success in a thriving educational setting near Elkton, MD. Two contract positions are open for dedicated School Psychologists passionate about making a meaningful impact across elementary and middle school populations. Start as soon as possible and continue through early June, contributing to a team environment that values collaboration and professional skill.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current MSDE certification as a School Psychologist required
  • Experience supporting elementary and/or middle school students
  • Proficiency conducting psychoeducational evaluations
  • Comfortable managing a variable caseload, typical evaluations around 70
  • Ability to provide individual/group counseling services
  • Skilled in participating in MTTS, IEP, and 504 meetings
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Flexibility to adjust to referral-based workload

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for students referred for evaluation
  • Interpret results and develop recommendations for interventions or programming
  • Deliver evidence-based counseling services to assigned students
  • Actively participate in MTTS, IEP, and 504 meetings, providing input to inform supports
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to promote student well-being
  • Utilize school-provided laptop and resources for efficient workflow
  • Work on-site; strong preference for in-person support

Position Details:

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday; Elementary: 8:15–3:45, Secondary: 7:30–3:00
  • Contract runs through June 12 (tentative end date)
  • Caseload variable; includes both evaluation and counseling responsibilities
