Two contract positions are open for dedicated School Psychologists passionate about making a meaningful impact across elementary and middle school populations. Start as soon as possible and continue through early June, contributing to a team environment that values collaboration and professional skill.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current MSDE certification as a School Psychologist required
- Experience supporting elementary and/or middle school students
- Proficiency conducting psychoeducational evaluations
- Comfortable managing a variable caseload, typical evaluations around 70
- Ability to provide individual/group counseling services
- Skilled in participating in MTTS, IEP, and 504 meetings
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Flexibility to adjust to referral-based workload
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for students referred for evaluation
- Interpret results and develop recommendations for interventions or programming
- Deliver evidence-based counseling services to assigned students
- Actively participate in MTTS, IEP, and 504 meetings, providing input to inform supports
- Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with policies and procedures
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to promote student well-being
- Utilize school-provided laptop and resources for efficient workflow
- Work on-site; strong preference for in-person support
Position Details:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday–Friday; Elementary: 8:15–3:45, Secondary: 7:30–3:00
- Contract runs through June 12 (tentative end date)
- Caseload variable; includes both evaluation and counseling responsibilities
