Position Summary

The Behavioral Aide provides direct support to children and adolescents to promote positive behavioral, social, and emotional development. This role focuses on implementing behavioral interventions, fostering life skills, and ensuring a safe, structured environment that supports each client’s success at home and in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct behavioral support and intervention services to children and youth
  • Serve as a positive role model while reinforcing appropriate behaviors and coping skills
  • Support development of social, emotional, and daily living skills
  • Assist clients in maintaining engagement in appropriate activities and reducing impulsive behaviors
  • Transport clients to appointments, school, court, or other required locations as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation (within 72 hours)
  • Communicate professionally with clients, families, and team members
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with mandated reporting requirements
  • Advocate for client well-being and ensure client rights are upheld

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and at least 5 years of experience in human services OR Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or a related field
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adaptable to children’s needs and family dynamics

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
