Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated RB-BHT to join our team. The RB-BHT will provide direct support and therapeutic services to clients in a behavioral health setting. This role focuses on promoting emotional wellness, teaching coping skills, supporting treatment goals, and assisting clients with daily functioning in a safe and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and supervision to clients in residential, outpatient, or community-based settings
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of licensed clinicians
- Support clients in developing coping skills, emotional regulation, and healthy behaviors
- Document client progress, incidents, and daily notes accurately and timely
- Facilitate psychoeducational groups and skill-building activities as assigned
- Monitor client behavior and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with clinical staff, case managers, and leadership team
- Transport clients to appointments or community outings if required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in behavioral health, mental health, substance abuse, or direct care preferred
- CPR/First Aid Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor
Preferred Skills
- Experience with crisis management and de-escalation
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care
- Familiarity with Medicaid documentation standards
