Job Overview: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

At Bloom Behavior Services, we are a BCBA owned space that believes in creating supportive, engaging, and life-changing environments for the individuals we serve. We seek a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our growing team. The RBT will work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing evidence-based behavior intervention plans rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

This role is essential to delivering high-quality care, promoting positive behavior change, and empowering clients and their families to thrive in the clinic, home, and school setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Collect, document, and input accurate data on client behaviors and goal progress
  • Utilize ABA strategies to promote skill acquisition and reduce challenging behaviors
  • Support and educate clients and families on effective behavioral techniques and coping strategies
  • Maintain detailed clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards
  • Assist in developing client care plans that reflect their unique strengths and needs
  • Collaborate with BCBAs and team members to assess progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging therapeutic environment for each client
  • Stay informed on relevant behavioral and developmental terminology and best practices

Qualifications

  • Current RBT certification (Required)
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities (Preferred)
  • Solid understanding of ABA principles, data collection, and behavior management
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and clinical documentation standards
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) for client interaction and family education
  • Compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to client care
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-based setting
  • Proficient in using data systems, electronic health records, or ABA software platforms (a plus)
