Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Mental Health Professional to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions.
- Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to each patient's needs.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions focusing on issues like grief, trauma (including PTSD), addiction, gender identity, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and chronic pain management.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to support patients experiencing acute mental health emergencies.
- Maintain meticulous medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring accurate tracking of patient care and progress.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers—to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans.
- Engage in clinical research initiatives and data collection efforts to enhance treatment outcomes and contribute to best practices within behavioral health services.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification as a Mental Health Professional (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT) according to state or regional requirements.
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, adults, or geriatrics in outpatient or inpatient settings; hospital experience is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychopharmacology principles, crisis management procedures, and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic classification and medical terminology relevant to behavioral health.
- Experience delivering telehealth services using secure platforms is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct intake assessments effectively and build rapport with diverse populations.
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder using specialized approaches such as applied behavior analysis (ABA).
