Position Overview
SI2 Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Outpatient Psychiatrist to provide services within the Department of Veterans Affairs healthcare system in Fayetteville, NC. The psychiatrist will deliver comprehensive outpatient mental health care to veteran patients, focusing on evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for veteran patients
- Deliver medication management and psychotherapy services in an outpatient setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with VA policies, federal regulations, and clinical guidelines
Schedule
- Monday–Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of Psychiatry residency (ACGME approved)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license (any state)
- DEA registration
- BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
- Prior VA or federal experience preferred, but not required
Preferred Experience
- Experience treating veteran populations, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders
- Familiarity with VA EMR systems (CPRS/Vista)
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills
