Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality behavioral therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly children. This position requires a strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and the ability to implement care plans effectively while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Duties
- Implement individualized care plans based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
- Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and report on client progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet goals.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication and documentation.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral therapy.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Understanding of medical documentation practices and patient care standards.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and strategies, particularly within an ABA framework.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all aspects of care.
