Anticipated School Counselor - High SchoolJob Description:The High School Counselor is a full-time, certified position reporting to the Building Principal. This professional supports students' academic, social-emotional, and college/career development through comprehensive school counseling services. The counselor collaborates with staff, families, and community resources to promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that empowers all students to achieve success.Key Responsibilities:

Provide support for students' academic, career, and personal/social development
Implement a comprehensive school counseling program aligned with district goals and state standards
Support students in course selection, scheduling, graduation planning, and post-secondary readiness
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student achievement and well-being
Monitor student progress toward graduation, college, and career readiness goals
Integral team member on PBIS and MTSS committee
Responsible for collecting, providing, and analyzing PBIS and MTSS data for team meetings to support the whole child
Assist in crisis response and provide support during emergencies or sensitive situations
Serve as a liaison between the school and community mental health agencies
Uphold student confidentiality and follow ethical and legal guidelines for school counselors
Participate in school-wide initiatives and assigned duties such as hall, lunch, and testing supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in School Counseling or related field from an accredited college or university
Valid State of Ohio School Counselor license
Strong knowledge of college and career readiness standards, mental health awareness, and academic planning
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Proficient in using data and technology to support student success
