Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Behavior Analyst (Outreach) for the Douglass Development Disabilities Center.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:
  • Supervises and monitors the services and programs related to the education of children and adults with autism and their families within an assigned caseload through the DDDC's Outreach unit.
  • Ensures best practice applied behavior analysis procedures are maintained and applied in the education and treatment of children and adults in community settings.
  • Reports to the Associate Director of Consultation and Communications.

Work Arrangement

Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position requires a fully on-site work arrangement and may be eligible for a compressed workweek or a flex workday schedule. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or discontinuation, and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Master's Level Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst and a minimum of 5 years of experience working with individuals with autism.

Certifications/Licenses

  • A valid driver's license would be required for this position.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience training and supervising other staff in the delivery of behavior analytic services.
  • Advanced knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis is required and must be evidenced by certification as a BCBA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specific training in functional analysis, treatment analysis, single case design, and preference assessments.

Equipment Utilized

  • Fluency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Employee must be physically active.
  • Duties may involve running and playing active games with individuals from 2 - 21 years of age. Following training, must be physically capable of safely providing crisis management techniques including restraining, lifting, blocking individuals with challenging behavior.
