Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time School Social Worker position is available for the 2024-2025 academic year in Sauk Village, IL. This role supports students’ emotional, social, and academic development within a positive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education and behavioral plans.
  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs and design appropriate interventions.
  • Address challenges such as bullying, social adjustment, truancy, and family issues impacting students’ education.
  • Facilitate effective communication between the school, families, and community resources.
  • Support crisis intervention and conflict resolution efforts within the school.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must hold a valid Illinois School Social Worker license.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage caseloads and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Knowledge of local community resources and support services.
