Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (MUST BE LICENSED IN COLORADO)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health assessments, diagnosing mental health disorders, and implementing effective treatment plans. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health care.
Responsibilities:
1. Assessment:
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to assess the mental health needs of patients.
- Formulate accurate diagnoses based on clinical assessments and established diagnostic criteria.
2. Treatment Planning:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, considering the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to establish realistic treatment goals.
3. Medication Management:
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, adjusting dosage and treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about medication options, potential side effects, and compliance.
4. Interventions:
- Provide evidence-based interventions to individuals.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
5. Collaboration and Consultation:
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
- Participate in case conferences and provide consultation to other members of the healthcare team.
6. Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for all patient interactions.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards, ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychiatric Nursing or related field.
2. Current and valid state Nurse Practitioner license with a focus on psychiatry.
3. Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
4. Proven experience in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
7. Knowledge of current trends and best practices in psychiatric care.
Duration:
- Contractual basis, with the possibility of extension based on organizational needs.

Pay: $90.00 - $110.00 per hour
