Certified Addiction Counselor

A mental health and drug and alcohol recovery agency that provides treatment services is seeking 3 CDCA certified Addiction Counselors with experience in providing counseling, case management, and alcohol and drug counseling to a wide range of individuals with substance abuse and mental health disorders in Cleveland, Ohio.

Duties:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' needs and determine appropriate treatment plans
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients struggling with addiction
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on clients' specific needs and goals
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapies to address addiction and related issues
- Utilize crisis intervention techniques to provide immediate support to clients in distress
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients
- Monitor and evaluate clients' progress throughout the treatment process
- Provide education and support to clients' families to promote understanding and involvement in the recovery process
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and treatment plans

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
- Valid state licensure or certification as an Addiction Counselor (CDCA)
- Knowledge of addiction counseling techniques and evidence-based practices
- Strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and interventions
- Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations and developing treatment plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
