Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – School-Based Houston, TX | 2026–2027 School Year

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to serve students within a Houston-area school district for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time, school-based role offers a structured Monday–Friday schedule and the opportunity to make a meaningful, lasting impact on students' behavioral, social, and academic outcomes in one of the most diverse and vibrant cities in the country.

Position Overview

As a school-based BCBA, you will serve as the behavioral expert on a multidisciplinary team, guiding evidence-based interventions across classrooms and support settings. You will partner closely with general and special education teachers, school administrators, related service providers, and families to design and implement individualized behavioral supports that promote independence, engagement, and student well-being.

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Monday–Friday school-based schedule
  • No evenings, weekends, or on-call requirements
  • All school holidays and district-observed breaks included
  • Collaborative, team-driven setting with access to a dedicated clinical network

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to identify the function of challenging behaviors
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Provide direct consultation, coaching, and training to classroom teachers and paraprofessionals
  • Collect and analyze behavioral data; adjust intervention strategies based on progress monitoring
  • Collaborate with ARD/IEP teams, school psychologists, and special education coordinators
  • Partner with families to promote generalization of skills across home and community settings
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
  • Support Tier 2 and Tier 3 behavioral interventions within an MTSS framework

Qualifications

  • Active BCBA certification in good standing (required)
  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or related field
  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP/ARD processes and Texas special education regulations a plus
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
