In this important role, you will manage a team of activity professionals, plan, and conduct fun and exciting activities for our residents. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated with a genuine concern for our residents' well-being and has a creative personality and positive attitude.

Position Type: Full-Time, benefits eligible position

Location: 1900 Stoney Point Road SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52404

Activities Director Responsibilities:

Create and schedule Activities calendar for residents and administer these activities.
Promote physical exercise, social interaction, emotional support and involvement.
Prepare monthly newsletter for residents and family members.
Oversee Activities Assistant in Memory Care.
Perform additional tasks as needed.

Activities Director Qualifications:

One year of Activities experience.
Certified as an activity's director through Iowa Healthcare Association or willing to get certification.
Is compassionate, motivated, and a self-starter.
Desire to work with the elderly in an assisted living setting.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to meet physical requirements of the job.
Functional knowledge of computer hardware and software.
Ability to respect confidentiality of resident information.
Ability to manage diverse individuals and multiple priorities at once.
