Overview
The Detail Manager’s responsible for overseeing all vehicle reconditioning, cleaning, presentation, and inventory photography processes across new/used vehicle and service departments. This role ensures vehicles are delivered on time and meet dealership quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Manage daily workflow of all detailing, reconditioning and photography processes.
- Maintain an I-Recon tracking system for all vehicles in the detail and photo process.
Monitor and manage vehicles in waiting for detail, work in progress, units pending photography and completed units ready for front line or delivery. - Implement and enforce standardized detailing procedures.
- Ensure all vehicles meet dealership standards before releasing or for photos.
- Oversee or perform high-quality vehicle photography for all front-line inventory
- Ensure every unit is clean and photo-ready prior to imaging and photographed consistently (angles, lightning, background, branding)
- Coordinate and ensure timely upload of photos to dealership website and ensure fast turnaround time.
- Control usage of materials like chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
- Minimize waste and operate within departmental budget.
- Work closely with all management, service team members and other personnel to deliver exceptional service.
- Enforce safety protocols related to chemical handling, equipment use, facility cleanliness and maintain compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in automotive detailing or reconditioning operations.
- Proven experience with vehicle photography and online merchandising preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience in a supervisory/management role.
- Valid driver license and good driving record.
- Ability to communicate with guests and employees.
- Strong organizational and workflow management skills.
- Ability to operate in a high-volume, fast-paced dealership environment.
- Knowledge of detailing chemicals, tools, and basic photography standards.
- Basic computer skills (DMS, inventory systems, photo upload tools).
