Job Description: Addiction Counselor
Location: Pittsburgh, PA, 15233
Skills:
- Provide both individual and group counseling in a Medication-Assisted Outpatient Treatment Facility both in person and via telehealth (if available)
- AWOL Engagement Calls
- Collaborate with other treatment providers to assist client as needed
- Complete individualized treatment plans
- Responsible for scheduling and completing counseling appointments
- Must write up all required documentation, devising appropriate interventions and treatment plans
- Completes annual educational requirements
- Seeks and responds to supervision
- Reports to work on time and as scheduled, completes work within designated time
- Demonstrates ability to handle multiple tasks
- Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with clients, staff, the public and other entities
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Possess basic computer skills
- Good typing skills
- Bachelor's or Master's preferred
- Associates in a related field WITH one year experience
Work Environment:
- Moderation in temperature, noise
- Sitting at desk for hours
- Close vision at a computer
- Repetitive motions for computer use
