The Prevention Supervisor – Reporting & Research plays a key role in advancing community-based prevention efforts by ensuring accurate data collection, meaningful evaluation, and timely reporting across funded programs. This position supports prevention staff and community coalitions by translating research into practice, strengthening program evaluation, and helping guide data-informed strategies that promote healthier, more resilient communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, guidance, and evaluation for assigned prevention staff
  • Collect, analyze, and compile data to complete timely and accurate grant and contract reporting
  • Support prevention staff in developing and implementing evaluation tools, including pre/post surveys and assessments
  • Share relevant research, trends, and best practices to strengthen prevention programming
  • Provide technical assistance to community coalitions and support community readiness and satisfaction assessments
  • Utilize state and local data sources to help identify prevention priorities and target populations
  • Review prevention messaging and materials to ensure alignment with best practices
  • Coordinate annual initiatives, including Tobacco Retailer Education visits and Synar surveys
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop work plans, training opportunities, and department-wide initiatives
  • Identify and promote professional development opportunities for prevention staff

Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of two years of prevention or community development experience required

QUALIFICATION(S): WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A valid, unrestricted driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required

QUALIFICATION(S): LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

  • Missouri Prevention Specialist Certification within six (6) months of hire date
