Job Overview
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will provide direct, clinic-based ABA therapy to children and adolescents aged 18 months to 19 years, implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Licensed Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will utilize evidence-based ABA techniques to help clients develop new skills and reduce challenging behaviors, while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct one-on-one therapy and small group ABA interventions in a clinical environment under BCBA supervision.
  • Apply safe, effective crisis intervention and prevention techniques for all clients.
  • Assist BCBAs in conducting ABA assessments and revising behavior treatment plans according to ABA methodologies.
  • Collect and record accurate data to track client progress toward treatment goals.
  • Achieve a minimum of 80-90% billable hours relative to total hours worked each week.
  • Prepare detailed progress reports documenting client advancements.
  • Co-facilitate family training sessions to promote skill generalization across settings when appropriate.
  • Implement behavior interventions following evidence-based industry standards and best practices.
  • Adhere strictly to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Code of Ethics.
  • Document work hours accurately using designated platforms, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Complete insurance billing, documentation, and charting promptly to support reimbursement processes.
  • Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment by regularly sanitizing toys and equipment.
  • Enforce clinic policies and procedures for clients and adults on site.
  • Participate in required clinical meetings and trainings.

Requirements

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must hold a current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Registration with the State of Nevada is required.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience implementing behavior analytic treatment plans, data collection, and documentation.
  • Experience with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, and behavioral challenges.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Professional, dependable, and punctual.
  • Proficient in ABA techniques including Natural Environment Training and Discrete Trial Training.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to accept and apply constructive feedback effectively.
  • Thorough understanding of ethical principles and guidelines in ABA.
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and regulations.
  • Willingness to pursue additional training such as CPR/First Aid and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI).
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Successful completion of a clean criminal background check and provision of quality professional references.
