Tutor Counselor

Essential Functions

  • Monitor middle school program participants on campus.
  • Assist with academic as well as recreational and cultural activities on and off campus.
  • May require overnight an overnight shift for a field trip.

Education:

Requires high school diploma or GED.

Experience: Requires a minimum of 32 post-secondary hours with a 2.5 minimum GPA. Experience with first-generation, low-income students preferred.

Additional Position Information

Leadership: Is responsible for the supervision of program participants.

Physical Requirements

Job is physically comfortable. Individual is normally seated but may be required to accompany students across campus to lunch and recreational activities, as well as on field trips. May occasionally lift very lightweight objects.

Working Conditions

Standard working environment with possible minor inconveniences due to occasional noise, crowded working conditions, and/minor heating/cooling or ventilation problems.

Compensation: The compensation for this position is $15.00 hourly.
