Mental Health Counselor

We’re Hiring: Mental Health Counselor – Limited Permit (MHC-LP)

Compassionate Heart Mental Health Counseling, PLLC is looking for a warm, motivated, and dedicated MHC-LP to join our supportive private practice team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hours toward licensure in a nurturing environment where you’ll receive weekly supervision, mentorship, and clinical support.

What you’ll do:

• Provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and/or families (via telehealth)
• Conduct intake sessions, assess client needs, and document treatment planning/progress notes
• Use evidence-based approaches to support clients through challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationships, life transitions, etc.
• Engage in regular supervision to strengthen clinical skills and work toward independent licensure
• Have the opportunity to shape your own caseload and develop a clinical specialty with mentorship support

What we’re looking for:

• Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or related field
• Active New York State MHC with limited permit
• Ability to provide virtual therapy during the day and evening hours
• Strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Organized and reliable with timely documentation
• Interest in developing a clinical niche (e.g., children, couples, LGBTQ+, trauma, etc.)
• Someone who values compassion, authenticity, and personal/professional growth
