Description:

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and resilient Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide dedicated, one-on-one support for a 6-foot-tall student in both their home and school setting. This is a high-acuity role designed for a professional who is passionate about working with complex behavioral needs and who can maintain a steady, therapeutic presence during challenging moments.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Behavioral Intervention: Implement specialized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) and care plans under the supervision of a BCBA, focusing on severe maladaptive behaviors (e.g., aggression or property destruction).
  • De-escalation & Safety: Utilize advanced crisis management techniques to manage challenging behaviors effectively, ensuring the safety of the student and the school environment.
  • Daily Support (ADLs): Assist the client with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed, maintaining dignity and promoting independence.
  • Data & Documentation: Collect precise data on observable behaviors and utilize professional medical terminology in all documentation and clinical communication.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards in various school settings.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Current RBT Certification in good standing.
  • Clinical Knowledge: Strong background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and behavioral health practices.
  • Physical Capability: Due to the client’s stature (6’0”) and the potential for severe physical behaviors, candidates must be physically confident and capable of performing safety protocols and redirections.
  • Technical Skill: Proficiency in data collection methods and familiarity with the implementation of complex care plans.
  • Crisis Training: Prior experience or active certification in crisis management systems (e.g., CPI, Safety-Care, PCM, or QBS) is highly preferred.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in high-acuity behavioral therapy or crisis intervention.
  • Strong grasp of behavior management strategies and "behavior as communication" philosophy.
  • Ability to remain objective and composed during high-stress behavioral episodes.
  • Experience contributing to the development and refinement of care plans.

Why Join This Team?

  • Specialized Compensation: We offer an enhanced rate that reflects the expertise and physical demands of this high-acuity assignment.
  • Clinical Support: You will have consistent, on-site access to a BCBA and a collaborative school safety team—you will never be left to manage a crisis alone.
  • Growth: Opportunity to work on a complex case that will significantly sharpen your clinical and de-escalation skills.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: We provide a robust benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as paid time off to ensure our staff maintains a healthy work-life balance.
