A full-time, school-based position is available for a School Psychologist to serve students at two elementary school sites in Long Beach, CA. This contract role offers a 35-hour workweek with a split schedulefour days at one site and one day at the other. The position involves a balanced mix of psychoeducational assessment, report writing, Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, small counseling caseload, and collaboration with educators and families to foster student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for eligibility and program planning.
- Complete detailed and compliant assessment reports within established timelines.
- Develop, contribute to, and lead IEP meetings as necessary.
- Provide counseling services supporting students social-emotional development.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate records ensuring adherence to district, state, and federal guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Active School Psychologist license or Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential required.
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred.
- Strong skills in assessment, report writing, and organization.
- Ability to effectively manage responsibilities across multiple sites and work collaboratively.
- Must meet all district onboarding and background check requirements.
