- Conduct detailed intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and psychosocial histories to identify patient needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
- Facilitate crisis intervention and crisis management to ensure immediate safety and stabilization for clients experiencing acute mental health or behavioral issues.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals, educators, and community agencies to coordinate care and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and detailed case management notes.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for data collection, patient tracking, and clinical research purposes to support continuous quality improvement.
- Engage in community outreach programs focused on home & community care, special education, autism spectrum disorders, Alzheimer's care, geriatrics, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Proven expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and clinical counseling techniques.
- Strong experience working with children and families in pediatric settings or special education environments.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical documentation standards.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments including diagnostic evaluation for mental health conditions such as PTSD or substance use disorders.
- Skilled in crisis management strategies for behavioral health emergencies across diverse populations including geriatrics and individuals with autism or disabilities.
- Experience with home & community care services; working within hospital settings; applying applied behavior analysis; conducting research; collecting data; and supporting patients through intake processes.
