The RBT Onboarding & Training Specialist works directly under the Recruiting & Onboarding Manager and collaborates closely with the administrative and clinical teams to ensure a smooth, comprehensive onboarding and training experience for newly hired Behavior Technicians. This is an in-person position, Monday through Friday, located at our Brentwood Clinic.
Clinic & Administrative Support
- Welcome clients, families, and visitors; assist vendors as needed.
- Support daily opening and closing duties.
- Gather, organize, and scan incoming mail to the appropriate departments.
- Manage clinic inventory and supply orders.
- Oversee company device shipments and returns.
- Process I-9 & E-Verify documentation for new hires.
- Maintain clean & organized clinic, office & inventory.
RBT Onboarding & Training
- Lead the full onboarding process for new RBT candidates, including monitoring progress, scheduling competency assessments, and providing ongoing support through the training period.
- Collaborate with both administrative and clinical teams to ensure successful onboarding and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Provide orientation for newly hired Behavior Technicians.
- Respond to questions related to RBT training to help ensure readiness for initial client sessions.
- Facilitate communication between onboarding staff and BCBAs.
- Conduct fidelity checks across the RBT training process.
- Assist in conducting competency assessments under the supervision of a BCBA.
Operational Support
- Assist with client session coverage in the event of cancellations &/or breaks.
- Support clinic BCBAs in maintaining smooth daily clinic operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Active RBT certification with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Reliable transportation and active auto insurance.
- Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including bending, squatting, floor-level positioning, and extended standing.
- Ability to respond swiftly to ensure client safety, including brisk walking or running.
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic technology proficiency, including: Connecting to Wi-Fi networks / Operating tablets (e.g., iPads) /Joining virtual meetings / Logging into applications and software / Using email / Filing attachments / Word processing / Accessing Google Drive and navigating online platforms
