The role of the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is to provide clinic and/or home-based ABA therapy to our clients. This includes the implementation of a treatment plan developed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Psychologist, addressing communication, maladaptive behavior, activities of daily living, and social skills
Basic responsibilities include:
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in home and/or clinic environments
- Ensure that the client is in a safe and positive environment at all times
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the BCBA
- Collect and input data to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the individualized treatment plan
- Provide regular written session notes
- Attend regular supervision meetings
- Support the BCBA with training families on implementing individualized treatment plans
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training
- Cleaning and sanitizing of learning areas, toys and teaching materials after each session
- Follows all policies and procedures of Early Bird Interventions
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree or 48 credit hours towards a Bachelor’s in Psychology, Education, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- Experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Experience working with children with behavior problems
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have a passion for working with children with special needs
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be willing and able to pass a Criminal Background Check
- Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certifications or willing to obtain certifications within 30-45 days of hire
