High School Guidance Counselor, Full-time

High School Guidance Counselor: We are looking for team players who want to make a difference in students' lives. We are a small charter school serving around 60 students across three sessions a day from 8am to 8pm. Counselors work Monday through Friday, 8 hours/day, with at least one evening shift each week.

We are seeking skilled, dynamic and motivated individuals, who will collaborate effectively with other staff members to create and maintain a positive, respectful and safe learning environment.

The Counselor will teach coping mechanisms, provide motivation, and support students to focus on their academics. They will check in regularly with all students to assure they are progressing on their individual plans towards graduation.

High School Guidance Counselor Requirements:
Counselling or Social Work Degree (or working towards one)
Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card

Passion working with at-risk youth
Excellent interpersonal skills

Helpful:
Arizona Pre-K-12 Guidance Counselor Certificate
Bi-lingual, Spanish/English
Experience working with Special Education students
Substitute certified or Highly Qualified in additional subject areas
