Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychotherapist licensed in California (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC) to join our dynamic mental health team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems to inform treatment planning.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions using modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis intervention techniques and crisis management strategies to ensure client safety during emergencies.
- Develop and maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, case management efforts, and community-based services for clients with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and promote positive behavioral change.
- Conduct specialized therapy sessions for children with special needs, including those with PTSD, behavioral issues, or requiring pediatric mental health support.
Skills
- Proven expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral management, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Strong experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and pediatrics.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient care including intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning.
- Proficiency in crisis intervention, crisis management, and trauma-informed care approaches such as PTSD care.
- Knowledge of medical records management, HIPAA compliance, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology.
- Skills in group therapy facilitation and social work practices within behavioral health settings.
- Familiarity with home & community care models as well as special education environments is a plus. Pay: $90.00 - $100.00 per hour
