Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate professional who is dedicated with working with children on the autism spectrum. Your background could be a Special Education Teacher, speech therapist, occupational therapist, DIR floortime practitioner, or BCBA who wants to create and implement a homeschool program for our child who is non-speaking autistic. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to rethinking how we educate our neurodivergent kids. We are looking to create an outdoors-based, active, and thoughtful educational environment that gets our little one out of the "clinical" setting that autistic kids are generally forced into. Our hope is to provide a robust outdoor-focused instructional system that allows him to identify opportunities, hobbies, and skills that allow his confidence to grow. And have fun along the way. We will provide a dedicated space, transportation, materials (based on your guidance), and allowance for activities. There is also budget to hire an assistant if needed.
