School Psychologist- Part Time


Employment Type: Part-Time- 3 days per week
Salary: $45–$65 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Work Year: 185–190 days (aligned with school calendar)


Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Part-Time School Psychologist to join our team on-site three days per week. The ideal candidate is collaborative, student-centered, and committed to supporting the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success of all learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments for students referred for special education evaluation.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, provide recommendations for interventions, and assist in developing individualized education programs.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions to support student learning, behavior, and mental health.
  • Collaborate with school personnel to provide Tier 1–3 interventions within MTSS, RTI, and PBIS frameworks.
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators on behavioral and academic strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records in compliance with district policies and legal requirements.
  • Provide crisis support and behavioral intervention as needed.
  • Stay current with best practices, legal requirements, and professional development in school psychology.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement or eligibility.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools, behavior intervention plans, and psychoeducational evaluation procedures.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with diverse populations, including students with disabilities.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in K–12 public schools.
  • Familiarity with MTSS, PBIS, and special education law.
  • Background in counseling or behavioral support services.
