Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Patient Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as a vital link between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for patients throughout their medical journey. This role requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and proficiency in managing medical records and billing systems. Our practice is focused on patient centered treatment and care you must want and be able to deliver a connection with our patients as we do to make sure they don’t feel like a boat payment (I don’t have a boat) we need someone who can help us navigate the intricacies of both cosmetic, reconstruction, and revision surgery!

Responsibilities

  • Screen patients to determine what the appropriate direction of their care will be
  • Manage necessary care coordination with both the patient and their treatment team
  • Discuss payment options
  • Discuss surgical options for insurance, but also cash pay patients help them with financial needs and coordination
  • Help manage surgical tracking and scheduling so that patients both get the appropriate an optimal care, but also expeditious care when necessary

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a surgical office setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, billing, coding, and collections processes.
  • Familiarity with medical records management systems is essential.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG coding, and other relevant coding systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient interaction.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation.
  • A compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
