Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Military Family Life Counselor specializing in Adult, Youth, School, and Child mental health support in California. In this vital role, you will provide non- clinical counseling tailored to military families facing unique challenges. Your expertise will help foster resilience, promote mental well-being, and enhance family stability through evidence-based practices and compassionate care. Leidos Health is seeking Independently Licensed Mental Health Counselors to support Military families through the MFLC program (Military & Family Life Counseling) in Monterey, California. Other locations throughout California also available at Leidos.com/Careers, keyword search MFLC for all locations/assignments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Face-to-face non-medical counseling to military service members and their families (Individual, Couples, Family, Children).
  • Recommending appropriate referrals and handoffs to military and community resources according to the needs of military service members and their families.
  • Develops and/or uses approved training and education programs and materials.
  • Communicates information regarding trends and issues at assigned installation to supervisors.
  • Participates in regular in-service training, quality improvement committees, or other contract activities as assigned.
  • Opportunity to participate in surge and on demand events at the military installations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Master’s degree in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA)
  • Licensure to practice at the independent practice level from any US State or Territory. (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, Psychologist)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to obtain NACI/CNACI clearance
