The Patient Care Coordinator is the first and last impression of Laredo Hearing & Balance Solutions. This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional, high-touch patient experience through proactive communication, de-escalation skills, and operational excellence.

The PCC protects the brand, preserves patient trust, and ensures every interaction reflects professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.

Duties

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all patients (phone, in-person, email).
  • Greet every patient warmly and professionally.
  • Set expectations clearly for appointments and next steps.
  • Maintain a calm, confident presence during high-pressure moments.
  • Manage upset, anxious, or frustrated patients with professionalism.
  • Listen actively without interrupting.
  • Validate concerns without assigning blame.
  • Speak clearly, warmly, and confidently.
  • Confirm and repeat important details to avoid errors.
  • Document all significant phone interactions accurately.
  • Optimize daily schedule to maximize provider efficiency.
  • Reschedule strategically — not randomly.
  • Collect accurate patient demographics and insurance information.
  • Verify authorizations and documentation before appointments.
  • Collect payments accurately and professionally.
