Job Summary

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional who practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT is primarily responsible for the direct implementation of ABA services in various settings such as the client's home, school, community or in the clinic.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Utilizing the training obtained to receive certification as an RBT, implement the prescribed
  • therapy designed by the supervising BCBA
  • Responsible for recording and collecting data on the progress and abilities of the child
  • RBTS are supervised/trained weekly by a BCBA and must be ready to provide feedback to
  • the on current progress and implement programs and recommendations given by the ВСВА
  • Maintain confidentiality with all client records and information
  • Arrive on time to all scheduled appointments and meetings
  • Excellent communication skills with families and team members
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner and maintain professional boundaries

Qualifications and Skills

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
  • Pass federal, state, and county background check
  • CPR/BLS Certification
  • Must have negative result for TB test within prior year
  • Completion of a minimum of twelve semester hours of postsecondary coursework or currently enrolled in a course of study leading to either an associate's or bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, behavioral sciences, or a related field or completion of a minimum of 48 semester hours of postsecondary coursework
  • Experience working with children on the autism spectrum preferred
  • Experience using software, Microsoft Office and Google Drive
  • Reliable means of transportation and up to date car insurance

Availability/Location

  • Monday - Friday
  • Travel within Monterey County including cities such as Salinas, Seaside, Marina, Greenfield, King City, and Soledad

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
