Music Therapist - New grads and Masters level with a Music Therapy degree encouraged to apply!

VitalCare is expanding its team and looking for a collaborative, enthusiastic, driven team player with a passion for helping pediatric (often with chronic or complex medical conditions) and adult clients in the IDD community through group and individual sessions.

VitalCare is a licensed non-medial home care agency based in Westminster, CO, and has been serving clients across the Front Range since 2017. POSITION TYPE:

• Contact Hourly: You will be compensated based on the number of hours you spend with clients, and will have a self-determined caseload, flexible hours, and accrued paid sick leave.
• Side Note: Looking for a stable schedule? Opportunities to grow into a guaranteed hours caseload is available to those interested after meeting specified benchmarks.

COMPENSATION:

• Have a Bachelor’s Degree?

This position will enjoy a rate of $36/contact hour for time spent with clients.

• Have a Master’s Degree?

This position will enjoy a rate of $55/contact hour for time spent with clients.

• What About Administrative Tasks?

During approved administrative activities (think New Hire Orientation & training), the hourly rate for this position will be $25/hour.

• Do We Help You Continue to Grow Your Skillset?

Absolutely! We hold in-office training, such as CPI and ASIST, to give you additional resources to utilize during your sessions.

• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Music Therapy.
• Board Certification (MT-BC). Are you seeking your Board Certification? We encourage you to apply!
• You will regularly travel to complete home visits, so a valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance is required at time of hire.
• You are willing to complete TB Screen at the time of hire and keep it up to date annually.
• Also want to help keep yourself and others healthy by getting your annual Flu Vaccine.
• Office Visits and Virtual Sessions will also be a part of your week when appropriate.
• You have thorough knowledge of Music Therapy Theory (and practice!).
• You can navigate basic functions of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, etc.) and are willing to learn more as needed.
• You are fantastic at building strong working relationships with co-workers, clients, and families.
• As it is in any position, there is going to be some paperwork. This does not deter you, because you can complete progress notes, assessments, treatment plans, etc. accurately – and on time – without breaking a sweat!
• You are on top of keeping necessary certifications up to date.
• You look forward to training and other opportunities to strengthen your skills and even learn new ones!
• Setting functional goals (improving fine or gross motor skills, language, attention, impulse control, etc.) is something you get excited to do.
• You would love to help someone express their feelings, improve communication, decrease emotional suffering due to health status, develop stronger coping and social skills, improve their self-esteem, reduce anxiety, and restore more regulated function to their lives.

Bonus points if:

• You have experience collaborating with clients with Autism.
