Mobile Crisis Response Counselor (QMHP) – Augusta / Waynesboro / Staunton (MCR Trained)

Mindful Solutions Services, LLC (MSS) is a behavioral health crisis agency providing Community Stabilization services throughout DBHDS Region 1. We are currently expanding services into the Augusta, Staunton, and Waynesboro area and are seeking compassionate field counselors/clinicians to join our team on a flexible 1099 (independent contractor) basis.

This role involves providing short-term, community-based stabilization support to adults experiencing behavioral health challenges. Services are delivered in community settings including homes and community locations.

1099 Independent Contractor (PRN / Part-Time)

Availability Expectations (Serious Applicants Only)

This opportunity is best suited for clinicians who are seeking active field-based work and are able to provide consistent weekly availability as services continue to expand in the region.

Contractors who are able to offer approximately 16+ hours of availability per week, including evenings and/or weekends, are strongly preferred. Evening and weekend coverage often results in the greatest opportunity for service engagement.

Applicants who are not able to participate regularly in coverage or are not MCR Trained are encouraged to apply at a later time as additional training opportunities become available.

Responsibilities

• Provide Mobile Crisis Response services to adults in the community
• Complete assessments, safety planning, and stabilization interventions
• Coordinate care with hospitals, providers, and support systems
• Support clients in maintaining stability and preventing hospitalization
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Communicate regularly with clinical leadership regarding client progress

Qualifications

• QMHP (Fully Licensed required)
• Mobile Crisis Trained (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field (minimum)
• Experience working with behavioral health populations preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in community settings
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to complete documentation within required timelines
