The San Diego Freedom Ranch is currently looking to fill a position for a Care Coordinator at our program located in Campo. This position is open to AMFT/LMFT, APCC/LPCC, ASW/LCSW candidates. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
**CANDIDATE MUST BE REGISTERED WITH AN ACTIVE INTERN and/or LICENSE NUMBER with THE CALIFORNIA BOARD OF BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES (BBS) WHEN APPLYING.**

San Diego Freedom Ranch, Inc. was established in 1972 as a nonprofit, 501 (c) (3), Alcohol and Drug Residential Treatment facility. Led by a highly trained staff and an active and experienced board of directors. We offer gender responsive, trauma informed, person-centered services and evidence based interventions. Through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Evidence Based Practices and the 12 Steps, We envision the Freedom Ranch as a leader in the alcohol and drug treatment community, utilizing all feasible resources in providing treatment and recovery services to the maximum number of alcoholics and drug addicts possible. Our mission is to provide a safe, healthy, and sober environment offering a program of recovery through which alcoholics and drug addicts can achieve and maintain sobriety-- and adopt “A new life through love and service.”
Key Responsibilities
- Completes and/or reviews Intakes, Clinical Assessments, and Screenings
- Assists SUD Counselors in documentation of Medical Necessity and Diagnoses as needed.
- Provides Crisis Intervention
- Facilitates Group (Clinical and Educational), Individual, and Family Counseling Sessions
- Works collaboratively with the Treatment Team (Therapists, Case Managers, Medical Staff, Management) on a daily basis
- Completes daily Clinical Documentation in Electronic Health Record
- Participates in Client Treatment planning
- Attends and completes required weekly Supervision (Individual and/or Group), trainings and seminars as required
- Works in collaboration with San Diego County providers such as; Probation, Primary Care Providers, Therapists, Referral Sources
- May assist in management of client medications, including psychotropic medications, including but not limited to: secure storage, counting and destruction according to policy.
- May assist in Client Withdrawal Management (Detox) observations and documentation
- May work weekends and holidays as needed.
Qualifications:
- ASW/LCSW, AMFT/LMFT, APCC/LPCC or License through California Board of Behavioral Sciences
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Experience in a residential SUD treatment setting a plus (but not required)
- Must be up to date on all AMFT/ASW/APCC and/or License requirements; and continue to stay up to date on these while employed
- Ability to maintain professional law and ethics standards.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Dual Diagnosis and Addiction
- Demonstrate a knowledge and implementation of Crisis Interventions
- Knowledge of current DSM-IV-TR Substance Use Disorder Diagnosis and/or the ability to gain more understanding under supervision
- Demonstrate a continued respect for the people we serve; as well as the multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work within a diverse population and be part of a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of 12-step principles and practices and be familiar with local 12-step resources
Knowledge Required:
- CPR/FIRST AID/AED Certified and/or willing to undergo certification within 60 days of hire.
- Understanding of San Diego County Substance Use Disorder Treatment programs: Withdrawal Management (Detox) and Residential
- Understanding of Clinical Assessment
- Cultural Competence and ablity to work with a diverse population
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of Electronic Health Records and documentation (Welligent and Smartcare); as well as maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
- Experience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self-sufficiency.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
