The CAS Experience

Schedule & Stability

Role Overview

As a School-Based Behavior Technician, you will provide direct 1:1 behavioral support to children under the supervision of a BCBA. You'll help implement treatment plans, teach replacement skills, and support students across their school day while collaborating with teachers, caregivers, and clinical supervisors.

This role is ideal for individuals who are patient, dependable, and passionate about helping children learn and grow.

What You'll Do

  • Implement ABA treatment plans under the supervision of a BCBA
  • Provide 1:1 behavioral intervention to reduce maladaptive behaviors and teach replacement skills
  • Utilize evidence-based ABA strategies and teaching techniques
  • Collect accurate behavioral data as instructed by the supervising BCBA
  • Support skill development related to communication, behavior regulation, and learning readiness
  • Transfer skills to caregivers and school staff to promote generalization and maintenance
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and clinical supervisors
  • Participate in required trainings, supervision, and team meetings
  • Maintain professionalism and consistency in school and community environments

Pay Information

Hourly Rate: Competitive and based on experience, education, and credentials

Additional compensation may be considered for:

  • Prior ABA experience
  • RBT certification
  • Completion of 40-hour ABA training
  • Relevant school or behavioral health experience

Qualifications & Essential Job Functions

  • Minimum age of 18
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • RBT certification or willingness to complete required training (preferred)
  • Prior ABA, TSS, or BHT experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including:
    • Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
    • Bending, kneeling, squatting, and transitioning throughout the school day
    • Responding appropriately to challenging behaviors (e.g., aggression, elopement)
  • Reliable transportation to assigned school sites
  • Ability to follow behavior plans and classroom routines with consistency

No prior ABA experience is required?we provide training and support.
