Job responsibilities include:
This is a temporary position to cover the maternity leave of the current staff, but can lead to other opportunities in our company! :)
- Provision of 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis therapy for a child in the home and after school settings
- Implementation of skill acquisition programs from individualized Treatment Plans written and supervised by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst
- Teach expressive and receptive communication skills, nonverbal communication, play skills, self-care skills, independence and group participation skills
- Collaborate and assist with developing fun, therapeutic activities and programs
- Provide supports to effectively and safely reduce challenging behaviors, including repetitive motor behaviors, ritualized routines, resistance to change and vocal stereotypy; this may include implementation of safety-management strategies
- Collect data during therapy sessions
- Write daily therapy session notes
- Deliver and maintain consistent, punctual, reliable service per the client’s service schedule
- Collaborate with a treatment team including child, parents and caregivers, outside professionals, and co-workers
- Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending trainings and professional development opportunities
- Participate in clinical meetings, staff meetings, and professional development days
- Protect the confidentiality of the client and family

Schedule:
Six hours per week. Days can be to applicant's preference if pre-arranged with the BCBA and parent. Position is from April 1 - September 1.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have completed high school-level education or equivalent
- Pass a criminal background check and an abuse registry check
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Capacity to tolerate physical demands of the job, including the possibility of lifting up to 50 pounds, running, kneeling, stooping, crouching, or moving from sitting to standing quickly as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or related field
- Prior experience with ABA or working with individuals with developmental disabilities
