Experteer Overview In this role you provide comprehensive psychology services within the Substance Use Disorders Clinic as part of the Mental Health Service. You will conduct assessments for SUD and co-occurring disorders, deliver evidence-based therapies, and support treatment planning with an interdisciplinary team. You will also consult with colleagues and community providers and contribute to program evaluation and quality improvement efforts. This position emphasizes independent professional responsibility within the VA Medical Staff and alignment with performance measures and care standards. Compensation / Benefits • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for SUD and co-occurring mental health disorders • Deliver evidence-based psychotherapies (e.g., CPT, PE, MET, CBT-SUD, BCT) • Develop and document individualized treatment plans with ongoing progress monitoring • Provide education to patients, families, and significant others about SUD and mental health • Consult with internal staff and community providers on assessment findings and treatment plans • Utilize systematic treatment response monitoring (e.g., BAM, PCL) to evaluate effectiveness • Participate in program development, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives • Collaborate with other health care programs to coordinate services • Maintain clinical privileges and assume responsibility for assessments and care decisions Tasks • Fully licensed psychologist (independent practice) • Experience with SUD and co-occurring disorders a plus • Ability to develop and implement treatment plans and document care • Strong communication and consultation skills • Familiarity with clinical reminders and performance measures • Engagement in research or program evaluation is possible with approval Key requirements • Paid time off (37–50 days per year) • Paid parental leave up to 12 weeks • Child care subsidy up to 25% • Federal retirement and 401K contributions • Federal health/vision/dental/long-term care insurance
