Conduct Consultative Examinations (CEs):
- Perform psychological assessments for claimants applying for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
- Evaluate mental status, cognitive functioning, mood, behavior, and psychiatric history.
- Review Medical Evidence of Record (MER):
- Analyze prior treatment records, diagnostic reports, and collateral information to inform the evaluation.
- Identify gaps in documentation and determine the necessity of further testing.
Review Medical Evidence of Record (MER):

- Identify gaps in documentation and determine need for additional testing or clarification.
- Administer and Interpret Assessments:
- Psychologists may use tools such as WAIS-IV, MMPI-2, BDI-II, GAD-7, etc.
- PMHNPs may incorporate clinical interviews, symptom inventories, and medication history.
- Diagnose and Document Findings:
- Provide DSM-5-aligned diagnoses based on clinical presentation and testing.
- Clearly describe observed limitations in attention, memory, social interaction, and adaptation.
Qualifications
For Licensed Psychologists:
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology
- Active state licensure
- Experience in forensic or disability-related psychological assessment
- Familiarity with SSA disability criteria and sequential evaluation process
For PMHNPs:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychiatric Nursing
- Certification as PMHNP-BC by ANCC
- Active APRN license in the practicing state
- DEA registration and familiarity with psychotropic medication management
- Experience in psychiatric evaluations and documentation for disability or forensic settings
Job Types: Part-time, PRN, Per diem
Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
