Experteer Overview In this role you support the CSP CEAT by applying psychological expertise to PCAFC eligibility decisions. You work with an interprofessional team across VISN and facility levels to ensure objective, consistent outcomes and high-quality documentation. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, supervise trainees, and contribute to program evaluation and research initiatives. This position offers impact at scale within a mission-driven veteran care program. Compensation / Benefits • Review PCAFC eligibility dispositions, reassessments, and appeals within 45 days from facilities, from a psychological perspective • Analyze mental health data from the VHA electronic health record and collateral sources to inform eligibility determinations • Collaborate with interprofessional teams at regional, VISN, and facility levels to ensure objective decisions and strong inter-rater agreement • Coordinate transfer of appeals with other CEATs for inter-VISN evaluation • Administer, score, and interpret a broad range of psychometric assessments to support case disposition and recommendations • Conduct peer reviews at regional levels to promote national consistency • Contribute knowledge to a CSP CSP CSC and CEAT community of practice across VISNs and Regions • Provide psycho-diagnostic services including testing for non-CSP PCAFC applicants • Perform psychological evaluations for diagnostic clarification and treatment planning • Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy (individual, family, group) and patient/family education • Function as a member of the mental health care team and take responsibility for clinical decisions and documentation • Provide clinical supervision for psychology interns and post-doctoral residents • Evaluate program progress and use data to improve processes • May serve as Principal Investigator, Co-Investigator, or Consultant on IRB-approved projects • Participate in committee or task force work at Medical Center/Healthcare System/ VISN/ National VA levels • Represent Psychology in decision-making committees at Medical Center/Healthcare System Tasks • Licensed psychologist or eligibility to practice • Experience with clinical mental health and medical disorders • Proficiency in administering and interpreting a wide range of psychometric assessments • Ability to provide psychotherapy (individual, family, group) • Experience supervising trainees or mentees • Strong data interpretation and program evaluation skills • Willingness to engage in IRB-related research as needed • Ability to work within interprofessional teams and maintain documentation standards • Knowledge of electronic health records and clinical documentation Key requirements • Paid time off • Parental leave after 12 months • Childcare subsidy after 60 days • Traditional federal pension and 401K • Federal health/vision/dental/life insurance • Telework available Ad-Hoc
